St. Vincent’s anesthesiologists, certified by the American Board of Anesthesiologists, address your comfort and safety using the most up-to-date pain medications and anesthetics available.
Our medical staff, which includes certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), is dedicated to providing you with total care.
Limiting Anesthesia Risks
Our anesthesiologists and CRNAs are trained to limit anesthesia risks. We determine the type and amount of anesthesia appropriate for you, which delivery technique to use, and how to administer that delivery. We discuss treatment options with you before surgery, after recording personal and family histories, allergies, and other key information. We answer any question you might ask. We coordinate the process with your care team. You are closely monitored before, during and after surgery.
Safe and Efficient Relief from Joint Surgery
The Continuous Regional Block Program at St. Vincent’s Medical Center is having a positive impact on the patient-care experience after orthopedic surgery. If you are a candidate for this form of pain management, your anesthesiologist will explain how it is administered and how it is proven to be effective for you after surgery when you begin physical therapy.
