Spine Care
World-class spine care in Fairfield County for comprehensive spine and pain management.
As one of only six centers in the country to receive advanced certification in spine surgery from the Joint Commission, the spine program at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport is a valuable resource for those seeking comprehensive spine and pain management.
A collaboration between the Connecticut Orthopaedic Institute and the Ayer Neuroscience Institute, the spine program at St. Vincent's Medical Center is uniquely staffed to address a broad range of back and spine-related conditions and offers the most advanced treatment options. Most surgeons will try to utilize conservative treatments first for most back and neck problems. For some problems, however, surgery is the best solution, and St. Vincent’s offers the clinical expertise and a wide variety of options for even the most difficult spine conditions.
Whether your surgeon is considering a laminectomy, discectomy, or spinal fusion, all of these procedures can be performed in the cervical, thoracic, or lumbar spine, or in a combination of more than one. Our board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeons will work with you to determine what treatment is the best for you and if surgery is needed, which option will help you get back to moving.
